Hope was in a lovey mood today. Here she is all puckered up to give Beau a kiss in the van. . .
And this morning when I was in the kitchen making breakfast, these two came down the stairs holding hands and then snuggled in this chair till breakfast time! Too sweet!
OK, I really will quit with the sunset pictures, but here is todays. I told Rod I think I will make a calendar for myself with a picture for everyday! Gotta have some way of using these! :-)
And this would be my boyfriend. He doesn't make it into the blog very much and so I thought I'd include this pic I took of him on the way to a cattle sale.

And this would be the sunset from today. (Had to complete the day ya know!)
This is Jason who we hired to help bale. That's him in his baler with his pickup to the left. I stopped shredding for a second to lean out the tractor door and take this picture.
What a nice way to end a rather stressful day!
So, I looked out this morning and had to grab my camera! This first shot is as I was walking out.
Then I zoomed in . . .
Check it out! Double sunrise!! :-)

These are some of the sunrise, sunset and sky pictures I've taken in the last 3 months. Rod says I'm addicted and perhaps I am. I love how they make me feel! I've always been fascinated by the clouds and so impressed with how God uses the sky as a canvas to create a different, incredible painting, every single day of our lives! No two skies are ever exactly the same!! How can we not be awed by that!?
This tree below is the landmark of where to turn to get to our house.
This military helicopter has been passing over our house for the last 3 days. It's a pretty massive piece of machinery - this is the kind that can carry tanks! The other thing I liked about this picture is the moon in the background. This was taken at about 11:00am.
This is the view out the back window of my tractor when I am shredding. The rows in the middle have been shredded and you can see the windrows on either side. The red at the bottom of the picture is my shredder. I can shred 8 rows at a time.
I've posted pics of our baler before, but here is one just as Cody is letting a bale out.
And what post of mine would be complete without a sunrise or sunset pic? Here is the sun going down today.
Happy Friday to ya!
The girls and I spent 8 hours in the tractor, shredding today. To pass the time, we took pictures of ourselves. The first two are ones that Hoper took all by herself - can you tell? (The dark ones are because it is pitch black outside. Not necessarily in order - sorry!)
Kaylee took this one of Hope:
Hoper took this one of Kaylee and I - close quarters, so not a lot of room to zoom out!
Here are two I took of the girls in the tractor after Daddy delivered lunch!
Aren't they cute tractor buddies?
The first thing Rod saw in the field when he was looking for bales to pick up. . . two bright eyes reflecting back at him.
We were shredding, baling and moving cornstalk bales last night and the "boys" kept getting sidetracked, killing coons! They were able to get two bigs ones!
Helps break up the monotony of all the work! :-)

Mail!

Beau was so excited to get a full page letter in the mail from his Uncle Joe!

Mac has decided it's great fun to ride the bales as we move and load them and has even stayed on when Rod was loading one up on the trailer! It's the neatest thing to hear Rod say, "Load up Mackers!" and then see Mac run, jump and scramble right up the side of the bale! I took this picture when the two of them came driving by the house yesterday.

These are some pics of the kids with their friends Andrew and Ashley. We had a great time the other Sunday at their home!

Bales

If you look really closely, behind the bales in the field, there is a bumpy line. (Don't know if it works for everyone, but my computer lets me double click on any picture in a blog and it will pull up a larger version of it!) - Well, that bumpy line? Those are all bales lining the road!
We have baled up 1800 cornstalk bales so far.   It's so cool to look out my kitchen window and know we did all that! I now know why farmers farm! It feels so good to put in a hard day's work and then be able to really see the results like this!

Thank you Ya-Ya!

Here are the girls all dressed up in the fun things that came in the mail from Ya-Ya (my mom). Oh, the fun they have had with it all! And the candy was the first to go! ;-)

Hope

I was on the computer blogging tonight and Hope decided to climb up on the bathroom counter and brush her hair in the mirror. I just had to take some pics of her. She was pretty serious about it!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Here are the kiddos on Halloween. Brenda took Tonya, two of their cousins and our kids trick or treating and they had a great time! Rod and I were working in the field, so they were sweet enough to stop by my tractor and let me take pics really quick before they headed out. Renee shared this one of all the kids from when they stopped at her house.
Beau was a tootsie roll, Kaylee a princess on a horse, Tristan was a cowboy, Colter a cow, Tonya was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, and Hope was a bunny. Aren't they cute?

Bale to Bale

Peek-a-boo! This is Hope peeking out from between the 1500-1800 lb bales we have put up in the yard at our place.  Daddy taught the kids and I a fun new game the other weekend. Kaylee calls it Bale-to-Bale. And once we all got over our fear of jumping, it was a blast, and the kids are now fearless! Even Mac joined in the fun! It's the kids' favorite game now.
